What this product is

LastDevOps Applicant is a self-serve AI mock interview for DevOps interview preparation. Access is invite-only for members of the LastDevOps Skool community. The Skool listing describes this product as an AI mock interview.

AI scores and feedback are formative learning aids for you. They are not used to hire, reject, admit, rank, or certify anyone. We do not sell this product to employers, bootcamps, schools, or other organisations for selection or grading.

You are interacting with AI

Practice calls and live mocks are conversations with an AI interviewer, not a human. During a call we show a persistent notice: You are talking to an AI. This voice is AI-generated.

The interviewer voice is synthetic audio generated by Google Gemini Live. Your browser streams microphone audio to Google for the live conversation and transcription. We do not store the live PCM.

AI-generated text

After a call, Anthropic Claude grades the transcript and produces a Junior / Middle / Senior mark plus covered and missed topics. Optional job-description text is compressed into a short vacancy brief with Claude at session start; we store that brief, not the full pasted description.

Those marks, topic lists, briefs, and written feedback are AI-generated. They can be wrong or incomplete. We label them as AI-generated in the app and mark them as artificially generated in your data export.

What we do not do

We do not use emotion recognition. We grade the content of what you said, not accent, affect, or delivery.
We do not use biometric categorisation or identify you across other services from your voice.
We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about employment, admission, or certification.
LastDevOps does not train its own foundation models on your data.

Providers we use

Google Gemini — live interviewer voice, conversation, and transcription.
Anthropic Claude — assessment marks, topic lists, and vacancy briefs.

Google and Anthropic provide general-purpose AI models. LastDevOps provides this interview-practice system under its own name, with our prompts and grading scheme. Machine-readable marking of live synthetic audio follows those providers' technical measures where they implement them. We add human-readable labels in the product and machine-readable flags in JSON exports.

Your choices

You must consent in the app before a practice call or live mock. You can delete individual answers or your account in Settings → Privacy when signed in, or email privacy@lastdevops.com.
