Terms of Use

Introduction
Welcome to LastDevOps LLC ("LastDevOps", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of lastdevops.com, the LastDevOps Applicant web application at applicant.lastdevops.com, and related services we provide.
Your agreement: By creating an account or using the services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Who can use the services
You must be at least 18 years old. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we learn that a user is under 18, we may terminate access and delete the account.
What we provide
LastDevOps Applicant is a self-serve DevOps interview preparation application. Through the app you may:
- Browse and practice interview questions
- Record spoken answers for transcription and AI-generated formative feedback
- Join live audio-only AI mock interviews
AI marks and comments are practice feedback only. They are automated, may be inaccurate, and are not hiring decisions, program admissions, certifications, or employment evaluations by LastDevOps or any employer.
We may also offer informational content, webinars, or other resources on our marketing site. Those offerings, if any, are described separately where they apply.
Voice and AI processing
When you start a practice call or live mock, your browser streams audio to Google Gemini Live for the conversation and transcription; Anthropic Claude grades the transcript afterward, as described in our Privacy Policy and AI transparency pages. You must consent in the product before starting a call. The interviewer voice is AI-generated. Feedback and level marks are labeled as AI-generated where shown.
Accounts
Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account and associated practice data from Settings → Privacy, or by contacting terms@lastdevops.com.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the services only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Damage, overload, or impair our systems or other users' enjoyment
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- Create a false identity to mislead others
- Transmit illegal, infringing, or malicious content
- Use the services in ways they are not intended, including representing AI practice scores as official hiring or certification results
- Violate applicable laws
Intellectual property
Site and app content (questions, branding, software, materials) is owned by LastDevOps or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial educational use of materials we provide.
You retain ownership of original content you create (for example your spoken answers). You grant us a license to process that content as needed to operate the services.
Privacy
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
Electronic communications
You agree to receive service-related electronic communications (email and in-app notices). Practice reminders may be sent unless you unsubscribe.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will update the Effective Date when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Termination
By you: stop using the services and/or delete your account in Settings.
By us: we may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, risk to the service, or other legitimate reasons, with or without notice where permitted.
Disclaimer of warranty
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI OUTPUT MAY BE INCORRECT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LASTDEVOPS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD $100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).
Indemnification
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless LastDevOps LLC and its affiliates, officers, and agents from claims arising out of your use of the services or violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
